Below, you can see my originally-designed tote bag illustrations. These designs are the labor of many hours and dedication, and I hope some can resonate with you.

Dissatisfaction

Inspired by The Little Mermaid, I designed this tote bag to reveal the common issue of envying that of what you don't have. I hope that this realization and recognition could help individuals to be more content with what they have.

Cats on a roll

Car-ride with cats: a fun getaway with friends, family, or loved ones. I hope this tote bag can encourage individuals the importance of taking a break and spending time with those you love.

Grasp

Dangerous roses and beauty standards. As a second-generation immigrant from Chinese parents, I used traditional Chinese art in this design to grow closer with my heritage while confronting the ugly truths I experienced growing up. I hoped to convey the negative consequences on girl's self-image because of the pressure to conform to beauty standards.

Your true self

People often judge someone based on their own impression, without considering the true version of that person. Inspired by the film Mulan, I wish more people could discover their authentic and genuine selves, without having to be burdened by the perceptions of others.

Inspired by the Great Wave off Kanagawa. Just have a fun time and enjoy the breeze during the summer!

Learning to love and appreciate yourself is an important step in life. Take the time to find things that make you feel proud in who you are today.

Part of a team

Inspired by the painting, The Dance, by Henri Matisse. I wanted to explore the importance of friendship and teamwork to unite ourselves.

On your side, always. Friendship and teamwork is a theme I often go back too. Having a good support system is something that I believe is one of the most important things in life

Expressing my faith

Taking the courage, and encouraging the courage, of believing in what I believe. Designed for a group of kids and teenagers in a summer camp, I hoped to design a bag that would build their faith.

Cat walk

This design encapsulates the idea of being who you are authentically. There is a "typical" cat on the left and three cats that look like humans dressed up on the right. Through this tote, I hoped to show confidence and empowerment -- to be who you are despite the steoreotype that is expected of you.

Photo booth

Through friendship and teamwork, anything is possible. Surrounding yourself with people who you love being with makes you more confident and happy.

In a busy and moving world, sometimes, it's important to step back and take a break. I hope this bag inspires people to find joy in all the small moments -- from reading a book to seeing the beautiful sky.

"How do I love myself?" is a question that is asked by a lot of people. Through this tote, I hope it can serve as a daily reminder to find all things in life that make you confident and loved.
